Tacoma Public Library temporarily ceases in-building services at Mottet library, offers curbside service through March 2022 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Dec. 7, 2021

TACOMA, WASH.— Tacoma Public Library (TPL) announced it will temporarily cease in-person services at the Mottet Library at 3523 East G Street and transition to offering curbside service through March 2022.

“We are working to address issues that are making this facility unsafe for patrons and staff,” stated Library Director Kate Larsen. “We look forward to welcoming our community back inside the library in March 2022,” Larsen continued.

Curbside services will operate during TPL’s regular service hours:

  • Tuesday—Wednesday
    12–8 p.m.
  • Thursday—Saturday
    10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Sunday—Monday
    Closed

Curbside services include:

  • Material check out (appointment and walk up)
  • Library card sign ups and renewals
  • Program kits (first come, first serve)

Curbside services do not include:

  • Technology (including computer lab, printing, or photocopying)
  • Restroom access
  • Book sale
