South Tacoma is "overdue" for a refresh and it's finally happening! Starting Saturday, September 1 the branch will be closed for an estimated 3 months, through November. Here’s what you need to know:
What work is being done?
We are creating a teen area, creating more space for people, replacing furniture (adding more comfortable furniture), adding a new play and storytime space that will include STEM activities, installing new carpet, adding a fresh coat of paint, improving the meeting room and updating the information desk to one with modern, ergonomic features.
Where do I pick up my holds?
If South Tacoma is your “home branch” your holds pickup location will be the Moore branch, 215 South 56th Street, 98408.
Can I still return items to South Tacoma while the branch is closed?
Yes, staff will be monitoring the book drop, but for faster service we recommend using Moore or another branch to return your materials.
