We apologize to our library patrons for their frustrating experiences with our electronic return boxes. Our intention was that these would improve library operations by offering a way for materials to be checked in when libraries are closed. We are aware of the issues that patrons are experiencing, and have instituted a three-day grace period past the due date of items to avoid fines associated with the return boxes’ malfunction. We are also installing analog book drops outside of our Main and Moore branches as an alternative way to return materials when the electronic returns are not in service.
