Lincoln High School senior Paul Yurisich, face hidden behind a safety shield, busily welding a piece of steel with an electric arc welding machine constructed by fellow student Melvin Nelson and himself. Melvin and Paul built 22 arc welders with a total value of some $4,000 to equip all the industrial art shops at school and a few private customers. Paul Yurisich, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Yurisich, graduated from Lincoln in June of 1940.
