This summer, TPL patrons donated 1,407 pounds of food during our Summer Reading Club Food Drive from June to August! All TPL branches collected non-perishable food items such as baby formula, pasta, and canned vegetables and soups.
Donations were collected by St. Leo’s Food Connection. St. Leo’s Food Connection began as a small, neighborhood food pantry, but has rapidly expanded to become one of the largest emergency food assistance programs in the area. The Food Connection is located in the New Nativity House, which opened in 2016.
Thank you, Tacoma, for your generous donations! We are honored to serve our caring community with year-round library programs, materials, and services.
