Read to Maggie, the library's attentive certified therapy dog.
Reading to dogs encourages children to read by providing a non-judgmental listener and furry friend. Dogs don’t mind if their reader makes a mistake or stumbles over a word. They are perfectly content to lie next to them and enjoy the story being read.
Each child will choose a book and how much reading and petting to do. Children can sign up for a private ten-minute slot to read to Maggie.
