On Saturday, July 6th, the Moore Branch of Tacoma Public Library was transformed into a drive-in movie theater for preschoolers. Children ages 3-5 brought grownups to help them decorate their very own cars. Once the cars were decorated, the preschool drivers cruised into position to watch a big screen cartoon courtesy of the library’s Kanopy, opens a new window streaming service.
Creativity was flowing heavily during the decorating process. Materials consisted of cardboard boxes, old music CDs, straws, plates, streamers and duct tape. Every car looked different, showcasing the personalities and tastes of each preschool driver.
Everyone in attendance had fun, so watch for this program to come around again!
