Students 12 to 18 years of age are invited to be part of a community art project for permanent display at the Moore Branch of Tacoma Public Library. Participants will research the historic trading trails used by local indigenous populations, work with renowned painting and mural artist, Rene Diaz, to create three large mural panels, create a program brochure, and have an opportunity to participate in a community celebration during the City of Tacoma’s Art month, opens a new window in October.

Saturday, August 25, 11 am - 4 pm
Due to the collaborative nature of this project, participation is limited to 16 students. Students should commit to attending all sessions, and registration is required.
