Young people between 7 and 17 can learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and more every Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Main Branch of Tacoma Public Library, 1102 Tacoma Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98402. Working with such programs as Scratch, Minecraft, JavaScript and more, kids learn the basics of coding language, syntax and logic in a relaxed and supportive environment.
No experience is required and this course is entirely self-paced and fun! Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult who will learn right alongside them. Students should provide their own laptop computer or tablet. The library does have a limited number of laptops to borrow if necessary.
