In June 1929, work continues on the installation of equipment aboard Tacoma's first fire boat, Tacoma Fire Boat No. 1. After the fire boat's successful launching on June 8th, the vessel was moved to a Port of Tacoma pier where five engines and four centrifugal pumps were installed. http://goo.gl/h3Bgo3
