Every journey begins with the first step, even if that step is away from the sofa! In the spirit of our Summer Reading Challenge – Exercise Your Mind – Read, Tacoma Public Library will help you take that step to begin exercising your mind and body. In just nine weeks, we’ll help you go from Couch to 5K ready. Join us and local fitness experts who will walk you through nutrition, fitness goals and how to get started.
Bring your running gear for a short practice run with runners from South Sound Running leading the group. Join us each week or as your schedule permits. Walkers are welcome too!
Visit the library calendar to view weekly sessions. Participants can register online or in person at any Tacoma Public Library location, or at a weekly session to be a part of Couch to 5K.
