September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month! You may have seen our advertisements on buses or billboards around town, reminding Tacomans they are due for a new adventure at their library.
If you’re reading this, you probably already have a library card. If you know someone who may not have a library card, encourage them to sign up! They can visit any library for a physical card, or get an eCard online to get started.
Fall is also the start of Tacoma Reads, our city-wide reading and events program! Please join me this fall in reading the book for your age level and attending events that explore the theme Home: Housing Insecurity in our Community. Register today for an author talk on Saturday, Nov. 4 with David Ambroz, who wrote our main Tacoma Reads title, “A Place Called Home: A Memoir.”
